Lovers of good stories and good art have long appreciated comic books for their unique blend of text-based and artistic storytelling. Yet comic books also have a reputation for telling compelling and complex stories that highlight important issues or raise deep questions. When you add a dosage of faith, you end up with cool Christian comic companies.
Christian comics may feature Christian characters, have faith themes, or the story might explicitly revolve around Christianity. As a testimony that God can speak through art, these companies deliver God’s truth through their artistic witness. However you slice and dice it, the following Christian comic companies publish comics and graphic novels with an aim to elevate good storytelling inspired from their convictions.
Make sure to follow these fine folks on social media and browse their collections on the linked websites. Also, this is everyone. I’ve left out major book publishers who also produce comics in order to give the independent creators a bigger spotlight. However, please comment below with companies I have missed!
Brainy Pixel Productions
Brainy Pixel Productions was formed in 2014 as an animation studio, but recently they’ve begun branching out into the world of comics. Of note, they’ve recently partnered with another Christian comic company on our list, Mercy Ways Studios, to release The Chronicles of Faith series. They also have their own IP-based comics as well, such as Tenet’s Tales with more to come.
