Blog Submissions

Want to Write for Us?

Theophany Media uses blogs to fulfill our mission of “creativity communicating Christ to the global church.” We try to publish blog posts twice a week that educate (and occasionally entertain!) our audiences about matters of faith, creativity, art, and theology. Sometimes these posts also link to products or services that we truly love and recommend for other people’s spiritual betterment–we earn a small commission on these. However, the primary purpose of the blog is to create thoughtful content that fits our mission.

Writer’s Guidelines

It would be awesome if you pitched or submitted to us content that meets the following requirements:

  • About 400 to 800 words long
  • Nonfiction only–no poetry or fiction.
  • Must have a clear, logical argument with evidence (We usually don’t publish personal reflections)
  • Must not be blatantly self-promotional, but of course mention your work if relevant (For advertising: advertise with us)
  • Complete submissions preferred, but queries and pitches are accepted (We may ask for links to your other works to get a sense at your style)
  • We mostly publish on how art and creativity intersect with Christianity. Occasionally, Theophany Media publishes creative articles that discuss certain theological beliefs, profiles or interviews of Christian creatives, or round-ups of Christian cultural artifacts. See our blog for the type of content we publish.

The Process

Currently, we do not pay our guest bloggers. However, each guest blogger gets the chance to write a two to four sentence bio in the third person that has website links, social media, and/or links to your book. We do our best to tag you in social media posts when we share your article and we relentlessly market it on several channels.

For submission, please fill out the contact form or email contact@theophanymedia.com. Be sure to select Blog Submission in the drop-down menu of the contact form or put SUBMISSION in the subject line of your email.

We will get back to you shortly with an update on if your submission is accepted or not. If you just sent us a pitch and we accept, we prefer you turn back in the complete article within a week’s time of the acceptance email.
